We’ve received some inquiries regarding 1099s, and since we know this is different from previous years, we'd like to clarify the process.
PayPal will not be issuing you a 1099-k unless you made at least $20,000 this year. Since the payments were received by PayPal directly, and not Stella & Dot, we do not issue 1099s.
We know this is different from what you might be expecting, but regulations are different for payments issued by payment processors. Self reporting your income is the responsibility of the person who earned the income and you can use the reports within PayPal to calculate your earnings: View and Download Statements and Reports.
As always, contact your tax professional for advice and assistance.
